We tried Mangia Mangia for the first time while in Kalamazoo for the weekend. In a word, it was great! Each of our group of four had a different entrée, and all of us were pleased. I had the Pasta Emilio
I went on a date with my boyfriend, it is a great place for an intimate dinner! We got bruschetta to start off and was fantastic. We each got a pasta dish and it was great. Would recommend!
A friend and I stopped for an early dinner before going to the musical theater. I liked the cosy atmosphere in Mangia Kitchen, and the warm color scheme. We both decided to order the Eggplant Parmesan. My friend agreed with me when I said, "I think this is the best eggplant parmesan I have ever eaten!" The flavor was fantastic, and, it was steamy hot, but best of all, it was very crispy on the outside! Because the serving was so generous, I took home what was enough for my lunch the following day! Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, as well.
We were looking for a place for dinner on a Friday night in downtown Kalamazoo. Thought the area (the Mall) would be terribly crowded, but we were wrong. Perhaps due to flooding in the area, it was almost deserted; my favorite time to be out and about. The restaurant was a beacon on a dark night. It was quiet, with wonderful soft music, and hardly any people. Both food and service were fantastic! We will definitely be back next time we're in Kalamazoo!
We were in Kalamazoo for a concert and chose Mangia by accident...what a fortunate accident! We were seated in the bar area and had a nice view out the window. We started our meal with a drink and an antipasto board. The variety of meats and cheese was nice...the only request I would have would be more crostinis. Our entrees followed shortly after we had finished and WOW were we happy with our selections. The portions were plentiful and the flavors were outstanding. Our waiter and the bartender were both very attentive to our needs. We will definitely return when we are in Kalamazoo.
